• Why choose MyStudio2Go? 
  
  I have worked in the music industry for over 25 years in Nashville. My passion for helping creative people inspired me to offer this service. Many people do not have access to studios and may be leery of the idea of cold calling someone to help. Also, not all musicians are interested in the technical side of audio and don't want to try to do it themselves. Sometimes all you need is a basic but solid recording of your music without spending a lot of time and money to get it. That's why I created MyStudio2Go - to offer the use of My Studio... To Go.
   

• I’m interested in doing a project but I've never done anything like this before. How do I get started? 

  The first step is to reach out to us by placing an order or contacting us via email or phone. We prefer to communicate with our musical customers because there is such a wide range of voice styles, instruments, set-ups, and locations. For example, the process of capturing a great live recording of a cappella style vocals in a log cabin is very different from recording a 4 piece rock band in a garage. We do include basic instructions and tips with your project package that will help you in the process. In the meantime you can think about how you envision your finished product to be. You can prepare for your project by choosing a quiet location indoors to do your recordings. Many times the place where you practice is an ideal location because you are comfortable and familiar with the feel and sound of the room. This will depend on your specific situation. We have worked with musicians and writers at every level from beginner to professional. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. We want you to get the best results possible and hope that you will use our service again in the future. Building trust and forming relationships are key to what we do for our customers.
   

• Do you edit the My Music projects in any way?
  
  The price includes the recordings only. If we see any obvious issues like long sections of silence or major noise jumps, we try to clean them up a bit if necessary. Due to the nature of live recordings, we have no way to know how you would want your edits done. You can provide us with notes to work with if desired. We recommend that you review your finished project once it's delivered to you and then decide if you want to have edits made as a separate project. We maintain a copy of your material in our archives for a period of time so we can do this without you having to send audio back to us. For instance, we can take the best parts of your recordings and edit them down into a project with individual track numbers and titles, etc. We can then provide other options like custom artwork, etc. Just contact us and we can work with you to make this happen if desired.
   

• Can I get additional copies or downloads of a project at a later date? 

  Yes. Additional copies and downloads can be purchased at time of order and also at a later date. Project material is archived for a period of time. Please contact us and we will answer any questions. You can place an order online for the copies and then contact us with the title(s) of the previous project.
   

• Do you offer full print packages for CDs and DVDs?
  
  Yes. We can do a custom printed CD or DVD package for you. Please contact us for a quote.
   

• It may take longer than 75 minuets to record my material. Can I increase my recording time?
  
  Yes. You can order the Additional Time Upgrades for up to 3 hours each.
  
   
• I went over the 75 minute time-frame when I recorded my project, but I only purchased the Basic Package. What happens now?
  
  When we receive a project that has more time recorded than what was originally purchased, we will contact you. You will have the option to purchase Additional Time Upgrades and the project will be completed. If we do not hear back from you in a reasonable time frame, we will complete the project only using the amount of time purchased. The remaining material will be archived for a period of time. We do not want you to lose this material. Please contact us with special circumstances.
  
   
• I forgot to turn the recording device off between recordings and the battery ran down. What do I do now?
  
  Beneath the bottom layer of foam in package there is an extra battery in case this happens. Please carefully slide the protective covering from the recording unit. Open the battery compartment located on the back by sliding the cover to the side and removing it. Remove the old battery and discard properly. Install new battery by first inserting the negative end against the spring in the top of the battery compartment and then the positive (+) end at the bottom of compartment (bottom end of unit). Replace battery compartment cover. Slide protective covering back over the unit. Power on the unit. Wait until display shows time remaining (takes about 15 seconds). You should now be ready to continue your recording project.
  
   
• I received my final project CD / file. It sounds great, however there are some content that I would like to have removed or edited and have more copies made. Can you do that?
  
  Yes. Contact us and we can do that for you.
  
   
• Do you clean your equipment?
  
  Yes. We clean and sanitize all items before we send them and when we receive them.
  
   
• I would like a video made instead of just audio. Do you offer that service? 
  
  Yes. Please contact us for more information.
  
   
• Why not just use a smart phone and do it all myself?
  
  Smart phones are great tools with seemingly endless uses. With all the different phone and device manufacturers and apps, combined with levels of technical skills of the average person, the results may vary. If your desire is to create an archive quality recording, please allow us to do it for you. 

• Can I record or use previously recorded audio / video from a smart phone and send that to you to be edited into a finished project?
  
  Yes. We do our very best with the material we receive and results may vary. Contact us to get a quote for your project.

• I have other audio on CDs, tapes and vinyl, etc. Can you compile those into a project?
  
  Yes. Contact us to get a quote for your project.

• Can I order a project for a friend or family member as a gift?
  
  Yes. I would recommend letting them know ahead of time. There are 2 ways to do this: 
  
  1. Purchase the package yourself and deliver it in person. You may help them with the recording or allow them to do it themselves with the easy to follow instructions in the package. There is a two week window for return of package for processing. They can use the supplied prepaid postage label to mail it back to us or you can do it for them. It will ship regular US postal service so it can be easily mailed from home, or any USPS drop-box or post office.
  
  2. ​​​You can purchase gift cards that can be emailed or printed and given as gifts. These can be redeemed for orders on the website or over the phone.

• Can I send a check or money order for a purchase?
  
  Yes. Please contact us for more information.

• Can you send a printed brochure to me or someone I know that may be interested in your service?
  
  Yes. Please contact us and provide a name and mailing address. 

• How long does it take to to complete a project?
   

  Order completion times can range from a week to a over a month for the basic package depending on shipping times, recording completion time, and final project format (CD or download).* 
  Other options may be available upon request. 

  * Here is the average timeline to complete the Basic Package: Once the order is placed, your project package will arrive to you in the mail in 5-7 business days or less. The recording is done by you within 14 days and the package is easily returned to us in the mail using the included prepaid postal label and box. Shipping back to us takes 5-7 business days or less. Once we receive your project package, your recording is processed in 5-7 business days or less. Then, the final project is sent to you via email / download or to be delivered by mail in 5-7 business days or less. You will receive tracking information while your project is in transit each direction. 

  For quality control purposes, we limit the amount of orders we take per month.

• I tried to place an order but the monthly order limit has been reached. Can I go ahead and reserve an order for next month?
  
  Yes, you can place an pre-order, and your package will be be sent to you on a first come, first serve basis. Please choose the Pre-Order option to place your order.
  
  You can also order a gift card and redeem it when orders are available to be made in the future.
  
   

• What if my items get lost in the mail? 

  While most packages arrive safe and sound to their destination, there is a chance something can happen along the way. We send all of our packages as insured parcels. Only the value of the package is covered. If the recorded material sent from you to our company using our label is lost or damaged in transit, we reserve the option to send another project package to you to be re-recorded, or to refund your purchase. If a completed project package that is sent from us to you is lost or damaged, we can send another completed project to you once a claim has been resolved or sooner depending on the situation. If the initial package sent from us to you is lost or damaged in transit, we reserve the option to send another package to you or to refund your purchase.  

  We cannot be responsible for lost packages. If you send any items to us for a project using your own shipping label, please insure shipment accordingly. All customer project materials received are archived for a period of time for reorders, etc. Any physical materials sent to us from you (discs, drives, tapes, photos, etc.) will be returned to you as insured parcels.
