This sculpture by David F. Judy was originally created in ceramic clay at his Tennessee studio. It will be cast in a bronze material to closely resemble the color of the clay model.
When this artwork is purchased, the process of casting your piece goes into motion. The original ceramic model is fired in a kiln, and then the piece is delivered to the American Bronze Foundry in Florida, where a mold and bronze proof casting is made using the lost-wax method. Finally, David inspects the artist proof, has another one cast and then returns to the studio. This first cast will be number 1/8 of a limited edition run of 8.
Each museum quality piece will be signed, numbered, and a certificate of authenticity will be included. A piece of written poetry was composed during the sculpting process, and will be included on a small plaque to accompany the piece. The plaque is removable so text can be displayed or not, depending on the setting and how the art speaks to you.
