This sculpture by David F. Judy was originally created in ceramic clay, and will be cast in bronze.
Notes from the artist: “As you can see I had a lot on my mind when I made this piece. I felt very in-tune with the earth and could feel the ancient vibrations from prehistoric man. This is possibly attributed to the earthen clay I was working with. Maybe there was bone dust in there, after all - that material is well, old as dirt... Images of the African Elephant and early human civilizations raced through my mind, and it was like I was wearing a supernatural thinking cap. Similar to a deep-sea diver's helmet, but designed instead for delving into the depths of my imagination."
When this product is purchased, the process of casting your piece goes into motion. The original clay model is delivered to the American Bronze Foundry in Florida where a mold is made, and then a bronze proof casting is done using the lost-wax method. David inspects the artist proof and then brings the first edition back to the studio. This will be number 1/8 of a limited edition run of 8.
Each piece of museum quality art will be signed, numbered, and a certificate of authenticity will be included.
